Botanic gardens & villasGarda island
Isola del Garda is a place of rare and special beauty, surrounded by the clear waters of the lake: a picturesque rock that has welcomed ancient people from the Romans to the Longobards. At long last it is now possible to admire its trasures: the neogothic-Venetian villa, the artificial caves, but above all the amazing gardens which date back to the 1880. The front gardens of the Villa are Italian gardens with perfectly modelled hedges representing various figures including the coat of arms of the De Ferrari family who developed the gardens. But conifers, typically mediterranean shrubs and essences, fruit trees, rare roses and other plants and flowers of rare beauty are also numerous… At the end of the tour light refreshments (with tasting of local products) will be served.

Guerrieri -Rizzardi gardens
The estate in Bardolino, on Lake Garda, dates back to the 1300s when the Viscount and Duke of Milan had city walls erected. Visit the historical garden located within the estate of the Guerrieri-Rizzardi Winery along with the Orchards of Palazzo Guerrieri, and the ancient cellars within the original walls of the city. The tour finishes up at the cellar-museum where you can taste the wines and local products.

Giusti garden
In Verona you will find one of Italy’s finest Renaissance gardens: Giardino Giusti. It was created at the end of the 15th-century by Agostino Giusti, a knight of the Venetian Republic and squire of the Grand Duke of Tuscany. The gardens were designed as a backdrop to the Giusti Palace and are terraced in order to gradually uncover the view of the city. It has been remodelled in early 19th century in English countryside garden style. After being destroyed during the second World War, parts of the garden have been restored.

Pojega gardens
The Gardens of Pojega are situated the heart of Valpolicella Valley and cover a surface of 54.000 square meters. They represent the last masterpiece of Italian gardens thanks to the spectacular green amphitheatre, the belvedere, the hornbeam alley, the stalactite temple, the fountains, statues and parterre. They were commissioned in 1783 by count Antonio Rizzardi to the architect Luigi Trezza, and are still looked after according to the original drawings. The visit is followed by a wine and olive oil tasting from the Guerrieri Rizzardi wine estate in the '700 old lemon houses.

Parco Girdino Sigurtà
More than 30.000 plants are sculptured by nature and the expert hand on man. Five major blossoming periods follow one upon the other through the season, the water gardens and the officinal herb gardens are just a few of the features that can be admired and enjoyed by the visitor to the Sigurtà Park. The gardens extend over 125 acres at the edge of the moraine hills that form the southern border of the Garda Lake, just 8 kilometres from the town of Peschiera. Through over forty years of loving care, Carlo Sigurtà, benefiting from an ancient right to reach water from the Mincio river, performed the miracle of turning an arid hillside into luxurious greenery. The plans for the existing park where then laid down by his grandson Enzo Sigurtà. The park and gardens opened their gates to the public in 1978 and from then its conservation has been due in great part to the love of its visitors who have found it to be a true temple or the nature itself. The park is now considered one of the most beatiful gardens in the world.
